iOS 6.0.1 thinks all calendar events are invitations

Ever since installing iOS 6.0.1, it appears that all my Google Calendar events appear as invitations. Is this happening to anyone else? Is there any way for me to fix this?

The only events that don't appear as invitations are the ones in my main calendar; I've got three calendars, one for personal, one for work, and one for other, and only those in personal are fine. The events in the other two calendars appear as invitations in my Calendar app on my iPod Touch.

When I created a repeated event for three months in my google calandar for example on a Wednesday it would appear on my iphone on Thursday.. I would then have to delete them all from google and re do it in the iphone... then on the iphone there isn't a possiblity to limit the repeats so I would have to go back into google and edit the repeats to set a final date.

Please, Apple correct this bug!

There are 9 IOS devices in my family. We use a shared Google calendar for our family schedule. One person updated to IOS 6.01 today, and now I'm getting an avalanche of "updated invitation" emails whenever anyone changes an existing event. AHHHHHH!

We are not syncing to the calendar via an exchage setup. The shared calendar appears in the available calendars in each device's google account. We all have separate google accounts.

please. fix. soon.

I am updated to IOS 6.1.3 and just TODAY, my Gmail sync for the calendar started doing the exact same thing. If I edit any existing event or create a new event, I get an invitation and then all **** breaks loose because it is a waterfall of invitations.

If I switch back to exchange, it doesn't include all of my secondary calendars, only my primary. If I "unsync" the google sync calendar option, then resync it, nothing changes and I still cant create or edit events without all the invitations

I have the same issue which started yesterday. I have an iphone 4S and I am on IOS 6.1.2 (I have not updated to 6.1.3). I use the native calendar app to pick up a shared google calendar on my partner's google account. It's through the add account gmail option rather than exchange. When I create events in the normal way the event is greyed out and when I click on it I get the maybe, decline and accept options, which when selected create extra events and it all gets very messy. I have done nothing to change the settings on the phone or in google calendar. For the moment I will have to manage the calendar through the internet which is all very annoying. Help please!!

As of yesterday I am experiencing the same thing. 😟

When I create events in a shared (Google Apps) calendar they appear as an event for a few seconds and then they transform into grey unanswered invitations. On top of that they are duplicated, one in the shared calendar and one in my personal calendar.

If I create calendar event in the web online Google Calendar it just works fine.

iOS 6.1.3 on iPhone and iPad.

Please make the calendar function more stable!

Thanks!
