SIM Not Valid after iOS 6.0.1 update

Hello All,

My iPhone 5 (AT&T) is unusable with the below error message after restoring it in iTunes to upgrade to iOS 6.0.1. I recieve the below error message "SIM Not Valid". My phone has never been jail broken and has the AT&T SIM card it came with. This phone has already been replaced once because of a hardware problem with the 1st phone I received.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I really don't want to waste time at the Apple Store again and this is my only phone, so I would like to get it up and running ASAP.

This was my iPhone 5 number 3 and will also be my last Apple product. I paid $549 for is a signed another 2 year contract with AT&T. The phone stopped working on 11/02/12 and Apple support has been totally inept.

I was sick of dealing with Apple support so I smashed the POS phone. Now I'm out a phone and stuck in a 2 year contract with AT&T. Yeah, I'm not very smart.

The Apple customer service case number was 368880249.

I hope Apple is able to resolve your problem Cstate. I know I've already smashed my phone in frustration, but the case with Apple was opened on 11/02/12 and is still open. None of their senior support people have ever got back to me. I guess if I was still depending on my iPhone 5, Apple is fine with leaving me with a non functioning phone for that amount of time.
