Since I ran the past two upgrades (the latest being 6.1.1), both occurring within a day of each other, my battery life is terrible. Forget what does my usage look like. If I don't do anything other than turn my phone on, my phone heats up and my battery is completely drained within a couple of hours. Since my iPhone 4s is my office (I live and work remotely), this is unacceptable. I've read some posts where people are turning off Exchange...again, not acceptable when your iPhone 4s is your office.

Is there a way to revert back a couple of releases to 6.0.1, so that I can have my phone back??

I managed to get my battery life back to where it was after upgrading to 6.1.1 by doing the following:

Delete all email accounts (in my case this was iCloud and Exchange)

Reboot the phone

Reinstall my email accounts

Reboot the phone

it now seems to work fine.

Kind a pain to have to have gone through the removal of my accounts to fix the problems caused by an update!!

Hi. I want to share my expericence.

I have a iPhone 4,I updated to 6.1, and my battery started draining very fast.

I did all the obivious things, shut down all apps, restarted the phone, etc.... but with no effect.

I then tried starting up the Google Maps app and turned the GPS locater/tracker on (I tapped the little arrow in the bottom left corner). I then quit Google Maps app, and now the battery life is back to normal. Go figure!

I don't know why my phone is back to normal, but it is! It my help others, it's worth a try.
