The disk you inserted is not readable by this computer

My external hard drive was working this morning. Its only a few months old (Seagate GoFlex Desk). Now, says "the disk you inserted in not readable by this computer." I saw a thread that has not been solved yet, but it asked the OP to post some info. Here's what I am getting:

/dev/disk0

#: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER

0: GUID_partition_scheme *320.1 GB disk0

1: EFI 209.7 MB disk0s1

2: Apple_HFS Macintosh HD 319.2 GB disk0s2

3: Apple_Boot Recovery HD 650.0 MB disk0s3

/dev/disk1

#: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER

0: GUID_partition_scheme *2.0 TB disk1

1: EFI 209.7 MB disk1s1

2: Apple_HFS 2.0 TB disk1s2

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I'm trying to recall... No, I couldn't see it in Finder, but I coiuld in DiskUtility as well. Sorry I can't be of more help - I'm not a techie. Bit I do recall that when using DiskWarrior, I was unsure what drive I was fixing because it was listed under a different generic name. You may need to start your own thread or contact the DiskWairrior folks.

I had my mac HD 10.4.11 removed after clicking started, but the pros couldn't retrieve data. I couldn't backup before that because the OS/formatting was different and the data would not load to my backup device. I've frozen the old external HD in the fridge and the clicking does stop..... until it thaws. I've read that in the frozen state, people can copy some data. Without the clicking sound, the message I get is: "The disk you inserted is not readable by this computer: (initialize...) (ignore) (eject)".

How can I retrieve my data? I know it's a last ditch effort.

I dowloaded DW 4.4 and it says that my hard drive was severely damaged. It then tells me that a folders and files have been fixed and repaired but when I get to the bottom, my drive is completely empty. Do I trust this or spend another $99 on TTPro??? I really need the files on this drive. I was just using it last night!! What could have possibly went wrong with it that it is severely damaged??
