MacBook Air SuperDrive - compatibility?

Hi All

I have a mid 2011 MacBook Air (128gb/4GB/1.7 i5) and have a Super Drive for it. As I am now possibly looking to upgrade it to a new MacBook Air or MacBook Pro I am wondering if this drive will work with either or both of these?

USB SuperDrive works only with the MacBook Air, Mac mini and MacBook Pro with Retina display

thanks. I guess I wasn't very clear with my question - as it was bought for the previous MacBook Air will it still work with the new one plus the other current MacBook variants you mention - or will I have to buy a new one for the new models?
