Timeline inactive in FCPX

I have been facing this problem regularly after the '06 upgrade. After I quit fcpx after a day's work, when I next reopen the app, the timeline is either inactive or very sluggish. I have to quit fcpx and trash the preferences and then only the fcpx starts working as usual.

This was'nt happening with the 10-0-5 version.

Any thoughts, suggestions and precautions will be appreciated.

Yes and also do Repair the Disk on your externals (you can't do it directly on your internal).

After your recent spending spree, if you find cash is in short supply ( 😝 ) you don't need Event Manager X.

All you do is create a new folder called something like "Final Cut Projects (or Events) Hidden" and whilst FCP X is shutdown, drag the appropriate items from your Final Cut Events or Projects folders into them.

If you later want to use them, simply drag them back.

It's a very quick and easy process but I must admit that for the "uber-lazy" it is a tad more convenient.

Thanks Luis for pointing out what I had written.

This sentence has been framed wrongly. If viewed from my earlier statement in this post:

'I am now doing this, I am quitting fcpx after a day's work is over. Next day, I first trash preferences and then open fcpx.'

perhaps this sentence could have been understood.
