Aruba is not listed in the iTunes country region

Dear Apple,

What does it take to get Aruba listed in the iTunes country region? I've lived in the Netherlands for quite a while and I am using my account based the Netherlands. Now that I moved back to Aruba I am still using a Dutch billing and country region, but I am not an European citizen and every thing I buy is based in Euros.

Is there an option to change this because Aruba does not use Euro's as it's offcial cureency. I know as well that we won't get an Afl Aruban Florin (AWG, Aruban guider) but we do accept US dollars in Aruba as an offical currency next to the Aruban florin with is based on Afl 1,- = US 1,75. insted of the Euro that is approximally based on the world value it has Euro 1,- = Afl 2,30

Maybe Aruba is a small island but there are other different small caribbean islands that are listed to use iTunes. This will only add one more client for users in Aruba especially now that we have a official Apple store dealer on the island.

Hope we can have an solution to this problem for the future.

Hi ed2345,

Unlike Bonaire and Saba, Aruba is not officially part of The Netherlands (and hasn't been since 1986). Just like Curacao and St. Maarten, Aruba is one of the 4 autonomous countries which form the Kingdom of the Netherlands. If you reside in one of the previously listed countries, you can't automatically use the Dutch iTunes store, as it requires a Dutch address, which most people residing in Aruba do not have.

As the British Virgin Islands are listed, please let us know how they managed to be considered a seperate country, so we can make the same case for Aruba.

Thanks!

Jules,

Interesting background, but I can't say whether it is relevant to why there is not an Aruba iTunes Store. Apple, as a private corporation, can make these decisions based its own commercial and legal criteria. Maybe you can look at the list and see a pattern, but I don't:
