Can't search anything in App Store!! Help!!

Hi, I am using an iPad 2 and every time I try to search something it comes up with an error message (cannot connect to App Store) featured is fine and top rated is fine and I can download stuff but if I try to type anything in and search it.. It just doesn't allow it.. I have reset network settings turned it off and on.. Signed out of iTunes and back in.. Changed the date and time several times to different years and back and I have held down the home button and the lock button for 10 seconds until the apple symbol came up.. And still cannot connect to App Store when searching.. I updated my iPad to IOS 6.0.1 this morning and was able to search after but several hours later nothing! Is there anything else I can do?

Saw this on another post.

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

In the meantime ...........

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

This works for some users. Not sure why.

Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

This error message appears every time I write something in the search field of Appstore. For example if I write the word (apple) in the search field of Appstore and I press the search button this error message appears. The only way to avoid this error and to be able to search for apps is the following: When I write the word (apple) in the search field instead pressing the search button I choose one of the options from the expanded list that appears every time you write something in that field. This is the only way to make it work. I believe that this issue happened when I updated to iOs 6.0.1. I tried a lot of tricks like changing the date or rebooting the router and bla bla but nothing works for me. Does anybody knows how to fix that issue? It is very strange because this problem doesn't appear in the search field of iTunes...!

Following previous fixes, I tried signing out of my itunes account in "settings" then opened App Store without my account logged in to see if the connection error would pop up if i tried to search, and it did. But then i signed back into my itunes account via the button near the bottom of the App Store feature page and now i'm able to search without issue. Works fine!!
