how to configure fusion drive after adding ssd to single hdd?

If I add an ssd to the hdd on my mac mini, will mountain lion configure the "fusion drive" management system?

Mac mini, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)

No. Fusion Drive is a self contained system that cannot be augmented, expanded, or created.

It doesn't happen automatically. You may be able to configure a "Fusion Drive" yourself, but it's an experimental technique only suitable for very advanced users. See "Fusion drive on older Macs?" on this page:
