My iPad is locked up on iCloud Backup

My iPad is locked up and shows a message saying " This iPad hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks. Backup happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi."

This message window doesn't close when I press OK. I can't mover the startup slider bar, and when I try to do a system reboot, the slider bar for that doesn't move either. I am stumped on what to do to clear this up. Any suggestions?

Reset it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then releasing. You won't lose any data by doing this.

Thanks randers4,

This post if getting old, but I was referred to it. This works! My wife's iPad had this problem and she was very concerned. Looks like lots of other folks have seen this lockup. Must be some kind of bug in the IOS. My wife hadn't upgraded yet to IOS 6, so we did that immediately. Hope we won't see this again.
