Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
This problem started when the latest firmware was installed, and I have seen that others have also experienced the same. This looks to me to be a big scandale, and Apple should take the full responsibility for it. This may become a very serious case for Apple.

I did actually phone customer service here in Norway some time ago, and they thought that my IPod needed to be repaired. But I would not believe that there could be anything wrong with it, because it was fairly new. Instead I tried to reinstall the previous firmware. I found it on the net, but didn't manage to install it. Can this be done, and in case how?
You can try holding down the ALT key on your keyboard as you click the Restore option. This should allow you to browse out to the location of the older firmware you downloaded and restore from that.

Thank you for the advise, but I think I will wait with that until I get the same fault again. For some reason it has not happened again, and I hope of course that it never will.
