iTunes Debit Card

I'm currently using the US iTunes Store and App Store. So, I want to provide my debit card info to iTunes. Will debit card be ok? Will it be safe? I'm in India. So, do I've to provide valid address to it??! If I don't, what'll happen? My account balance is in INR. Will the iTunes Store convert it into USD? Pease tell me about it. Thanks in advance.

Visa Debit card is a debit product, so why is there an option to press CREDIT at the terminal?

When you press CREDIT and sign for a purchase, your transaction is routed through the Visa network. This gives you all the security protections of a Visa transaction. But your Visa Debit card still works like a debit card, not a credit card: The purchase amount is deducted from your checking account and you don't pay interest.
