Multiple Apple IDs on one Mac

This issue is driving me crazy, my partner and i both have user accounts and don't wish to combine our iTunes accounts, we just each want to be able to purchase iTunes items whenever we want to rather than taking it in turns every 90 days! Even if i buy something on my iPhone or iPad it wont allow me to add it to my iTunes library on the iMac until his 90 days are up.... its so frustrating and i hope they change it soon!!

Did anyone find a resolution to this? My partner and I share a Mac and have separate users. I can't download previously purchased tracks stored in the cloud for another 90 days. It's ridiculous. My partner is now on the verge of deleting the separate user and buy a Windows Laptop!! Apple's approach seems somewhat disingenuous to me ... or am I missing switching on (or off) certain functionality which will enable to me to access music I've already bought??

Is this still Apple's policy with Apple Music?

I am also struggling with this issue. And its driving me nuts, we have 3 people who share one computer and we have all our media on that computer and need to be able to access that information separately. Surely it cant be that hard.

Any idea if this would work for video content that was purchased?
