setting up centurylink.net email on IPhone 4

Having trouble setting up a "centurylink.net" email account on my I4. I use "pop.centurylink.net" for the incoming mail server and it rejects it.

iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1

Did all the things in the article and no help. Still getting msg that pop.centurylink.net mail server not responding.

And you have your complete email name spelled out and you are using the ports that are recommended? If yes it sounds like you will need to contact centurylink and see what is happening on their end.
