In outlook 2011 I have sync services set to work, but it's broken. Not syncing back over to Mac contacts. Anyone have a clue? thanks.

Steve, ok,just did all stuff you mentioned an sync service is still broken.
btw, what is sync service and how can you quit it? I don't see it as an app or anywere else.
But anyway, when I imported address book (now called contacts) into Outlook 2011, there were 787 in there.
Now outlook has over 811 contacts, Those new ones are not in Mac's contacts.

If you meant Outlook Express, it's not that different from "regular" (paid version) of Outlook.
Outlook Express is no longer available, it ended in 2005, I doubt that many are using it now.
Not understanding anything your are writing Steve.
I'm on Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011.
The thread is about the fact that my contact is this software were imported from Apple contacts,
So now there are 850 or so contact in Outlook but only 787 in Mac's contacts, the new contacts I add to Outlook don't seem to be syncing back to Mac Contacts.
