These looked like the answer to my problem of using ML_2010R with OS 10.8.3 but unfortunately, in spite of using in turn both your a) and b) methods, the installer will not open.

i GET THE REFUSAL MESSAGE "Alert This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."

Is there any way round this obstacle?

Annoying because the 2.2 Driver appears to be there for the taking.

I wonder if SAMSUNG has interfered to encourage the sales of new printers?

You are getting the same message that I got so I think it is doable. If you have done everything described in the earlier posts my only suggestion is this...

Go to your download, find the driver and click on the driver icon while holding down the Control key. Then you should get the option to Open.
