ringtones going into iTunes music instead of Tones

I have installed an App from the App Store called Ringtones and I have used it to create ringtones from my music. It saves the file with the .m4r extension but when I import them into iTunes they go into the music section instead of the tones. I tried renaming the files to a different name from the song in the iTunes music library but it still didn't fix the problem. How do I get them into the Tones library so I can sync them to my phone and use them as ringtones? The file shows as an m4r file and plays just fine. The program by default makes the ringtone 40 seconds long, but I saw mention of 30 seconds so I made one 29 seconds long and that didn't help either. What am I missing?

Thanks

I know it's been sometime since the post. But I have recently just found the same problem, and googled to find out a remedy and came across your post. If it is the same for others, what I have discovered is, If its a song from one of my own CD's it changes to a tone/text message fine. But if it's a purchased song from iTunes, it will not convert and just keeps going straight back into my music section of the iPhone.
