Suddenly, no YouTube sound

SIMPLE SOLUTION!!! Hope This Helps, it did for me. I plugged in a pair of ear-buds and waited about 3 seconds and audio started to play on Youtube. I removed them and instantly there was sound!!!

this is the only thing that worked for me I tried everything I could find on the net for this fix and this bloody thing worked thank you very very much and I don't like that these sites are creepily asking for access to my cam

This fixed it for me..Had system sounds but no audio anywhere else....Log Me In was the culprit.

I tried many suggestions, but none of them worked. I realised my mac was being slow so I restarted. Then suddenly YouTube sound started working again!

Ok so I just came across the same problem, everything else world like my internal, Vimeo channels, all but YouTube! I tried all the solutions here in this discussion, thank you all by the way. And guess what it was? OMG! I had somehow "muted" YouTube! LOL!! Make sure you have not "x" out the speaker in the video! So funny!

Always glad to see a solution using the ever-helpful UNIX command line. Thanks also for reposting the correct commands. One thing, though: Inexperienced command-line users may not know that '/Flash Player/' won't work—but '/Flash*Player.' will. UNIX doesn't like blank spaces very much.
