Is there a way to create a shortcut for Preview-Grab-Selection ? So after pressing 1 key I can make a selection with the mouse and the image is shown.
I tried to do it by automator but did not succeed. Also in Sytem Preferences, keyboardshortcuts it didn't work.

Ok, I Tried to replace Grab by Preview in the applescript above but I couldn't get to Preview File Grab Selction
Somehow it doesn't understand "Grab Selection" I'll look into it tomorrow.
Got it ! works great with Spark deamon activated at background. But can I trigger this script without Spark by 1 key?
So next script works for saving picture of selected area as a file AND opening it .In Spark asign a shortcut key to it.

Well, you need something to link that keystroke to launching a script, but you can have Spark start at login... Spark>Preferences>General>
Yes in Spark Preferences you need to set "Start Spark Deamon at login" so only the deamon is activated not Spark itself.
