Partition update failed

Hello,

So I used a BOOTCAMP partition to run Windows 7 for a while, but I didn't need it anymore, so I deleted it with Disk Utility.

This partition is about 50 gb and I needed some extra space on my disk.

Now when I tried to make my Macintosh HD larger by drag the current box downside and apply it, it says, translated, that 'the partition has failed' and that it is because of 'the partition table cannot be changed because the control of the file system has failed'.

What should I do?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

CCC keeps history, so that 60 GB will be around until CCC decides to drop those "long unused" files as part of housekeeping the clone will hold them. But the clone will grow over time because of the history it keeps.

For now, continue to keep used space down to reasonable, read up on BootCamp carefully to avoid this issue again.

But well you done have, Young Jedi. Between Csound1-Vater an Obi-Wan-steve359 have you well learned.

So everything is working for now. Me = happy 😀

But, wisely I deleted about 60gb of movies and series I've already seen, and as I go to the same storage table like I posted above, the back-up part has grown by the same amout I deleted.

How can I delete it forever? I've never had that issue, altought I never looked at it 🙂

Thanks

Download OmnidiskSweeper and take a detailed look at your disk but I would be tempted to ignore it until it is an issue.

I think you are seeing TM snapshots.
