Partitioning in Bootcamp using Mountain Lion

When trying to download Mountain Lion, I was given an error message that stated that there was a conflict with Bootcamp. I went to Disk Utilities and Erased Bootcamp, hoping that would solve the problem and was correct. However, now that Mountain Lion is downloaded, I have Bootcamp as a slot appearing like my Harddrive, but there's no information. When I try and partition again to download Windows 7, I'm given an error message "The startup disk must be formatted as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume or already partitioned by Boot Camp Assistant for installing Windows."

How do I do this?

Have you erased and repartitioned your drive yet, there must 1 standard OSX partition.

If yes then boot from the clone, start CCC (from the clone), select the clone as the source and the internal drive as the destination and clone the external to the internal. This really is a very simple procedure, either you are over thinking it or, well I don't know what or actually, this is no more complex than turning a light on,

Please explain exactly what you do and what is the result.

Cloned drive - partition in Disk Utility; used CCC to copy Untitled 1 to Untitled 2 (mounted in Disk Utility); System Preferences - Startup Disk (verify that Untitled 2 is available to reboot to); Rebooted to Untitled 2 - Disk Utility - Erased Untitled 1; repartitioned; used CCC to copy Untitled 2 to Untitled 1; Rebooted to Untitled 1; DIsk Utility - erased Untitled 2 and expanded to keep only one drive.
