Partitioning in Bootcamp using Mountain Lion

When trying to download Mountain Lion, I was given an error message that stated that there was a conflict with Bootcamp. I went to Disk Utilities and Erased Bootcamp, hoping that would solve the problem and was correct. However, now that Mountain Lion is downloaded, I have Bootcamp as a slot appearing like my Harddrive, but there's no information. When I try and partition again to download Windows 7, I'm given an error message "The startup disk must be formatted as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume or already partitioned by Boot Camp Assistant for installing Windows."

How do I do this?

I've gone through that process, recloned using CCC again and then through that whole process. The progress bar for Windows support software never shows any progress at all. I've left it going for over a half hour and still nothing - even after using the Proxies route as well. Is there a copy of Bootcamp that I can get on this site that may help? Still trying to figure other routes that may fix that glitch for downloading.

It really is not an OS bug and won't be fixed that way. The servers supplying the Support Software have been bad for some time, but most people persevere through it, I have downloaded it in 45 minutes, and also in hours, it's a crapshoot.

Also please search this forum, there is a posted link to an alternative (unsupported) download. Use at your own risk.
