iMessage not working for me and my friends

What do you mean sign out than in? I can only turn it on and off and that hasn't worked, hard restart does't work, and even creating a new contactdoesn't work. I'm sofrustrated.

I'm on iOS 6, it's under Settings > Messages > iMessage > Send & Receive > Apple ID - there you can sign out

Mine has been out for about 3-4 days now

Well i live in Canada, and this worked for me hopefully it works for you guys aswell.

Click

Settings > General > Reset

Click Reset Network Settings and Reset Location & Privacy

Hope this works for you aswell.

I have the same issue. In my opinion (because this frustrates me to no end), the reason apple hasn't said anything about it is because they suck at customer service and they don't have anyone to take calls to even try to FIX the issues that we have. It's enough to go to android for everything in my house. I understand that it takes time to fix things, but how can they if they don't have anyone available to KNOW that there is an issue?!

I have done everything as well to get my daughter's imessage to work including creating new apple IDS and it continually takes me back to the main screen to login. What is up with that? I see that ios6 has problems so I wouldn't think of loading that on however I'm at an impass. anybody find a solution yet?

It worked when I turned off my phone for a minute then turned it back on.

iMessage suddenly stopped working for me today and I have tried to turn off the iMessage and turn it back on, still nothing. It won't allow me to iMessage and it sends out messages as an SMS text. Why is this not working? So annoying! I have an iPhone 4 with latest software update.

Check this link http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ regarding the status of Apple service. It shows there were some issues for iMessage and Facetime, however it reports everything is supposed to be okay now.

It seems that iMessage is having an issue again.

But seriously, it says down again. People will just need to wait. Once apple admits a system is down it's usually a fairly quick turnaround.

Can you help me fix my iMessage? My phone only works on wifi ' & I've been using it that way for a while now all of a sudden my iMessage won't activate with my number only my email :((
