iTunes Error 11111

Hi there,

actually I'm not able to update any app.

I'm stuck on the error 11111.

On my iPhone 4S with iOS5, I'm also not able to update apps.

What shall I do?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1

It is interesting how apple is happy to charge more for the "experience" of having an apple but is in no hurry to acknoledge, respond to or fix an issue that affects customers after they have your money. Telling a customer to wait a few days to see if the problem gets fixed in not an answer I'd expect from a company that tells the world that they have the "perfect" system, just trust us. Sure is making android devices look better and better

I sent apple support an email with this issue. I got a response that provides a link to this thread.

I understand you're receiving error upon updating on your account. I sincerely apologize for all the inconvenience this has caused you. I know how eager you must be to get this issue be sorted out. Let me walk you through with this concern.

I did a little research and I found this link related to your concern and I hope it could help:

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4523797?answerId=20336989022#20336989022

At that website you will find a wide variety of helpful tutorials, troubleshooting tips, and support information.

I hope that this information will help to resolve the issue. If you require more in-depth assistance, you will need to call Apple technical support (there may be a fee associated with the call).

Evidently there is no fix, but I'm supposed to feel better that there are others having the same problem.

Same problem for past 2 days.

Apple responded to my email support request that they will respond within 24 hours. It has been almost 48.

Others who have had this problem in the past said they need to have Apple "reset" their iTunes account in order to clear the error. But if this many people are having the problem, there must be a larger "system wide" iTunes store problem that is causing the glitch.

Clicking "update" about 5 to 10 times will allow *some* of the apps to update, but most do not. Purchasing new apps is no problem, just can't update any with patches.

Just hope the Apple engineers can fix this soon -- it is becoming a real pain in the ***.

I have two iPad's and two iPod's that can't update, but was just fine a few days ago. In reading the responses here and seeing how many YEARS they have had errors like this..they don't seem to know much of how to fix things the right way the first time. Glad my phones aren't from apple too. Guess downloading the apps I wanted for my birthday isn't going to happen now...
