Logic studio 8

Question

So

I am considering to buy Logic Studio 8 or Logic studio 8 with update to 9.

Will it run on my i7 intell based iMac with snow leopard OSX?

Logic 8 is obsolete. Whilst you may get it to work, you would be better off just getting Logic 9 from the App store.

Still on that subject: how about logic express 9? Good program for me with current setting?

I am not looking for tons of software synths and stuff, just easy midi/audio daw.

Hi

Logic Express 9 is also discontinued, so your best option is to get Logic Pro 9 from the AppStore

Just did get my hands on Logic Express 9 retail, and specs show, it should run on my system.
