weather icon wont find local weather

Local weather not updating on 4s with 6.01, for several days, Culver City/Los Angeles area. Verizon Wireless service

click the "i" in the top right corner to adjust/add the towns you want then scroll click the x when youre done and you should be able to scroll through all of your added towns

I am having the same problem. Just got and set up my iphone 5, I thought i had a bug in the app or a lemon, but it seems like its everyone.

My local weather will not update, but any city i input manually will update without issue.

Same problem here. I have ios 6.01 on the iphone 5 with Verizon in NJ and getting the same issue with the eternal updating when using the location services. It lists the location, but incorrect weather being 20-30F warmer than actually is. Good thing I found this thread as it was driving me nuts.

There have been some problems with Yahoo updating weather. The data comes from their network, and there have been reported problems with it. I would try again tomorrow.

Started working again all on it's own about 6:20PM AST - I can now take off my Tin Foil Hat and resume normal operations. Stand Down, Crisis is avoided for the time being 🙂

It appears that the issue has been fixed. My local weather is now displaying as normal.

Was working fine again until yesterday. Today (22 nov) the problem is still here. Local (GPS) weather does not update, but all other preset cities do. App needs to be completly shut down and restarted to see the local weather. I think a few bugs need to be ironed out!

how long did it take to start working? mine works if i am connected to wifi, but otherwise its very tempermental and has a mind of its own

Same issue here... i've noticed it on my iphone 5, and it seems to happen frequently... and then randomly it works again. I never had this problem on my iphone 4. Please apple, what is the issue??

Same problem. I have 6 users reporting the issue to me. I reset my desktop configuration but that did not help. I have searched all over for a answer but nothing comes up. Come on apple, give us a reply.

Apple doesn't officially participate in forums so you won't get an answer from them here or anywhere else.

As has been said before, it's most likely a Yahoo issue since they proved the weather data. There are much better weather apps, i.e. AccuWeather.

FWIW, my defalt weather app wasn't working when this thread started, but it's working now.

It could be an issue with Yahoo but I think it is more an issue from the iPhone, maybe trying to collect GPS data to send to yahoo. Or a bug somewhere in that process.

The app is still misbehaving now and then, but still works most of the time.

I got used to the default iPhone weather app so I love it! Very fast (when it updates itself!)
