iMac reportcrash endless loop

For about a week I have been having this problem. An endless loop of ReportCrash eating up CPU and causing timemachine backups to never complete. I have searched the forums and google and tired many of the solutions presented but thus far none have helped. I have disabled spotlight, rebuilt the launcher index, etc. Any insight would be appreciated.

And were back! It appears to be something in the backup because I formatted the time machine drive and started from scratch and it still starts the reportcrash error. Must be some file on the main disk that spotlight cant index.

It sounds like your backup drive is malfunctioning. Try another one.
