weather app

I'm new to Apple and Iphone and purchased an Iphone 5. Has worked fairly well, but the weather app will not update the local weather. I've turned it off and on and done a couple hard restarts, but nothing. I've checked the web and it appears others are having the same problem and it may be hardware related. Can someone tell me how to get this to work? I have location services on and up until yesterday, it worked fine. It brings up the town I'm in, but the weather never shows.

iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.1

Yes I know that Thanks, but like you said I'm never on WiFi I can't believe how bad this release of the iPhone has become. Apparentley Apple died with Steve.........

For me, it was about a two day outage on the Iphone5 and has worked fine since then. Just another bug, but I would guess your weather app will work fine in a day or two.

i have the same problem with my iphone 4S in Turkey, it is about 4 months it is not updating... 😟 actually i dont see any hope that will work properly again 😟 as it is really weird a problem not solved that long..

Upon the fact that many people are getting these issues, it may be an overall OS system glitch. It is likely that a new software update will come to fix that. Just be patient!!! I have an iPod touch 5th generation. And it has the latest IOS 6. No glitches. So when the mass IOS update for the apple products were released, it may have different glitches on the different products.

I have a solution that seems to work. First turn of your cellular network(2G,3G or 4G) and then your wifi. Ten put it in airplane mode for about 10-15 seconds and then switch everything on again.

The data comes from Yahoo. Interestingly, I noticed yesterday that the name of the town I work in has changed from Garfield Heights to Valley View. Today, it's back to Garfield Heights... go figure.

Use a different weather app... Yahoo often has problems.

However, the stand alone Yahoo weather app seems great. Who would have thought that Yahoo could have produced something with a really nice U.I. too?
