lock on pictures in finder

a lot of my pictures in finder have a padlock on them ... I would like to know Why ? do I have to unlock them 1 by 1 ? is there a way to unlock them all at one time ? I have an IMAC with osx lion . thanks for your help .

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), iOS 6

Yes.

1. Select all the photos with click (first) then shift (last). All selected should be highlighted in blue.

2. Press Option + Command + i to open a collective Get Info dialogue.

3. Deselect the lock icon. That should unlock all of those you have selected.
