a lot of my pictures in finder have a padlock on them ... I would like to know Why ? do I have to unlock them 1 by 1 ? is there a way to unlock them all at one time ? I have an IMAC with osx lion . thanks for your help .

Yes.
1. Select all the photos with click (first) then shift (last). All selected should be highlighted in blue.
2. Press Option + Command + i to open a collective Get Info dialogue.
3. Deselect the lock icon. That should unlock all of those you have selected.

In the Finder, do a Get Info on one that is locked... does it say you have R&W rights?
I don't know what are the R&W rights but I know these are pictures I took with My cam ...

I am not sure. You could check your camera to see if the photo is being locked from there. Most cameras have this ability to prevent a photo from being deleted, but I did not think that carried over to the copy uploaded to your computer.
