Can i take out the motherboard and CPU and replace it with a newer one?

I was wondering if i could take out the CPU and Motherboard of an early 2011 13" macbook pro with a 2.3GHz dual core i5, and replace it with a 2012 2.9GHz 13" dual core i7? I don't care about the costs but i just want to know if it's possible? I've upgraded my computer to the max so far, but i need some more processing power and i think the new ivy bridge processors will do me some good. Thanks for any replies 🙂
