When did Final Cut Studio 5 was released?

Hi,

I would like to buy Final Cut Studio 5.1, but first, I would like to know since when Final Cut Studio 5 is available?

It's because I don't want to buy it and see Final Cut Studio 6 in the Apple Store a few months later...

I have to say, that isn't the best attitude. do you say that about buying a car? There will always be changes. It's part of life.

I could guess that if you bought Final Cut Studio 5 today, you'd still be learning the programs until way after version 6 came out. It's that deep a toolset.

Nobody knows when FCP 6 will be released except those that cannot talk about it.

FCP 5 was shipped June of '05. FCP 4 shipped two years earlier with a release that was a free upgrade from 4 in between (FCP HD). FCP 5.1 (the universal version) was JUST released about a month ago...

If you are a pro, or intend to be one, get used to buying upgrades... or not... hey, no one says you HAVE to be running the latest release, ya know? FCP 5.1 Studio is a great release, and you could run this until your computer dies of old age, and make a great living doing it all the time.
