turn off automatic processing on import

How do I turn off automatic processing when files are imported? I see "revert to original" but didn't find a way to turn the auto-processing off when importing. Thanks.

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.2)

Thank you for including that link, it is very interesting....and thank you to the writer, Keith. I wasn't aware of the effects of the Canon "Highlight Tone Priority".


If that doesn't solve the OP's problem then the only thing I can suggest is using the "RAW Fine Tuning" brick in Aperture and saving the setting as a new default for the camera.


As a general comment I'd like to personally thank leonie for all the time and effort put into this forum. Always on topic and always polite. Exemplary!!!
