Mountain Lion - Scrolling lag

Hi,

I have upgraded my Macbook Pro 13 Early 2011 with Mountain Lion. Now scrolling between pages in Launchpad & Scrolling between Desktops and on some websites in Safari is not smooth at all. There is a lag while scrolling.

My Macbook specs are i5 with 4 GB RAM. I have shown this issue in Apple genius bar appointment they said to wait for next OS upgrade. Could you please suggest, is there anything i can do to resolve this issue. It is very annoying.

Hi,

One more thing i want to specify that after performing all the above steps mentioned by you, i am facing slowness in my safari today. Few websites are not opening or taking quite long or opening half. whereas all these websites working fine in Chrome. Few websites like 1. This Apple support website 2. Facebook.

Could it be because of steps which i performed in last few days?

Hi,

OK. I performed last step. Moved the file to Desktop. After relogin i have found my all the launchpad folders spread across into individual icons. But I still see lagginess.

One thing I notice, Earlier i used to have maximum icons in first page (ALL 5 LINES FULL) and less on second so i face lag while scrolling back from page 2 to page 1. After your change I have got less icon on page 1 and 3 and maximum on page 2 (ALL 5 LINES FULL) so this time i got lag while scrolling from page 1 to 2 or Page 3 to 2 not other way arounds.

So It means i always face lagginess when i scroll to maximum icon page where all the 5 lines are full.

I have reverted back the file and Got my previous launachpad setting back.
