iTunes Match Error 4002 - Can't Connect

I am also having this problem.

Same since updated to iTunes 11. Shame Apple didn't Beta test properly. Very annoying

Exact same problem here.

I'm relatively tech savvy and I've been trying to fix this all day. Tried multiple things in terminal, cleared all caches etc, but absolutely no help. The furthest I got it to was 'Waiting For Apple To Deliever Results...'.

Same problem here. I haven't been able to get it working since last week.

Turn off iTunes Genius (Store -> Turn Off Genius), you might have to turn off iTunes Match first. after turning it al off and turning it on, that issue is usually fixed.

This solved the problem on my macbook pro and I am going to try it on my mac pro, but I believe this will resolve the issue there as well. Thanks vadim118

Open iTunes and click the Store tab on the menu bar.

Hold down the Option Key (⌥) and at the same time click ‘Turn Off iTunes Match’. (hold shift key instead if on Windows).

Click Store on the menu again, then click ‘Turn on iTunes Match’ (but don’t hold down anything this time, just click it).

I've been having problems with iTunes match for MONTHS! I was hoping iTunes 11 would fix it but it didn't. I've tried all the other solutions out there and your super simple solution was the only one that worked!!! I'm amazed. Thanks for posting it!

I have been having these problems, was having problems with iTunes Match just repeating the cylce but never finishing it when first went to ML. Eventually it just started working, so reckon Apple sorted it. Then recently i moved on to iTunes 11 and then started getting error 4002. Strange thing is that it happens sometimes and others it is fine. I think it is an issue at Apple's end since iTunes 11 so I have left feedback via iTunes. Hopefully if more leave feedback they will address it.

Have had same problem for the last week - read all of the above and followed advice Dough H suggests in on support. Turn off iTunes Match, update Genius and turn Match back on again and all fixed.

Hope this helps - it was playing havoc also with Apple TV but all ok now.
