What do you mean exactly by "-" button? Explain me as if I am a 4 year old child please...
In the "Print & Scan" window, over on the left is the list of Printers you have. At the bottom of that list you'll see a "+" and a "-" buttons. These are used to Add and Remove Printers, AFTER the padlock at the bottom of the window has been unlocked.

No that doesnt get rid of hardware, it still shows up on the applications page. I need to get ride of all printer hardware.
I'm guessing you mean it still shows up on the print dialog box?
If the printer is "shared" from another computer, it will still show up.
Is this what you mean?
