When ever I playback my sequence, certain clips are all black on the canvas while others are not. When I pause the video however over one of the black clips it shows up. What could be causing this?
Final Cut Pro 7, Mac OS X (10.7.3)
Is the Canvas window in RGB mode? If it is, what are the clip properties?

It happens at random times too...like I inserted the clip yesterday it was fine during playback. I come back an hour later..it's black...but the audio remains. I tried exporting and it also exports black this ONE clip only. The rest is viewable perfectly fine.
Apple does not recommend editing with H264 files in FC7.
Can they work? yes
Do you always work? no
Are there numerous posts on here and Creative Cow talking about this and not recommending it? yes
I would try converting to PR422 and see if you get the same results.
