Apple is doing what they want and feeding us crap. what happend to apple engenuity ? I thought they were mart. how stupid a team can be to come up with this crap. I have tried to no upgrade since my friends warned me about it , but my computer one day did it on its own, looking for a way to downgrade back. Apple treats us like idiots and we just take it because they thing we have no other hoice and we eventually get used to it. What a crap of Itune team. plain stupid.

Hi!

You're ever so right! And Apple doesn't seem to care a bit although, so I presume, a great lot of people have sent their negative comments to Apple. With the help of some people here I have managed to downgrade to iTunes 10.7. I don't exactly remember how, but if you look through the comments, you will surely find the right one. You have to download iTunes 10.7 and change the name of the iTunes library. A programme called pacifist will help to reinstall 10.7. Sorry for not being of more help.

The problem I have now are the updates to iTunes that are constantly coming in, usually combined with updates to other programmes. So I delete the tick from the box for iTunes. Then my computer tells me that I must connect the plug to the electricity ... and the tick is there again and starts loading iTunes 11.2. This is really harassing.

I just get frustrated everytime I use iTunes to just play music because they made it more difficult to find albums and it loses it's place all the time so you have to re-search for what you were on before.

So far the Enqueue App I bought last night from the App Store is working good (not frustrating ;-)

It's probably better to just leave iTunes 11 and get alternatives to do what you want with it. That way all the syncing, iCloud, Store are still working.

If you get another program like Enqueue you will have to download all your music from the iCloud though.

Man I hate this new iTunes. I've already posted more complaints in this or another thread, but here's one more:

When you type an artist into the search box -- say, "Bowie," -- all his tracks come up. I am used to being able to hit play, turn shuffle on, and have a random Bowie mix. Now, when I do this and go into another area of iTunes (importing a CD, for example) it loses my search terms, so the next track that comes up is not Bowie.

How can anyone have thought this was what we wanted?

Or is this a real mistake?

My lord, please get this program fixed, back to the way it was (under Mr. Jobs).

There are so many legitimate gripes here. In order for Apple to really hear them though, please take the time and give Apple feedback at the link below. Apple doesn't monitor these discussions, so be nice and explain how important it is to restore this app to it's prior greatness. Don't just gripe, be constructive, tell them the feature(s) you want to enhance iTunes. Write it up as an enhancement to iTunes 11. It's OK to tell them to make it like the feature was in iTunes 10.7.

Had been hoping that Apple would fix annoyannces and still waiting, unfortunately.

I just left the following feedback:

1. When shuffle by album is on, adding an album to up next with "play next" should add it after the currently playing ALBUM not the currently playing song.

2. when shuffle by album is on, and viewing a playlist in grid view, double clicking an album should play that album AND populate random albums in the up next queue, not repeat that album.

3. The up next queue list itself could be more album-centric. There could be an option to view grouped by albums, or collapsed into albums, or track #/count / disk # count info at least.

4. There should be a context menu in the up next queue to remove the entire album. at least opt-click the X should do that.

Just download Songbird. It synchs your itunes library and playlists and it's completely customisable, so you can get an add on or skin that works much like the Itunes of old. Also, Songbird is just a much better, more modernized experience and has all kinds of really cool features, like downloading entire playlists from music blogs with one click instead of manually downloading each mp3 individually. Itunes is old balls, if they want to get all Microsoft on us, I say find something new.
