TV shows showing the same artwork for all seasons

Since upgrding to itunes 11 it doesn't display the right artwork for the correct season.

For example when I click on 'Desperate Housewives' it will show episodes and then the season 1 artwork, but when clicking 'season 2, ect' It'll still display season 1 artwork.

This problem happens to ever tv show I have in my libary.

Is there any way to get each season to show their correct artwork?

Yeah, but it does not seems that they are coing to anything about this.

So I am seriouly concedering to devide my seasons up by renaming them season 1, season 2 and so on...

But then again that will make it not nice for the apple tv, and the transfer list to iPad and iPhone.... so no

Apple should really change this, but how do we get them to do this?

With iTunes 11, the 1st season artwork was the default for both the mail view as well as when you expanded to show the episodes. When viewing the episode listing, regardless of the season, you'd see just season 1 art.

However, I just updated to iTunes 11.0.2 and there has been a change. Now, you see the MOST RECENT season's artwork in both views.

This is just ridiculous... Here I am getting excited about itunes 11.0.2 thinking "Hey, CLEARLY they will fix this problem so many people have been complaining about"... but no... they move the problem instead. To me it is not good enough to make the most recent album art for TV shows the main artwork for all seasons. I, like many of you, spent a lot of time customizing or collecting each seasons artwork and would like to view it as such. However, instead of simply complaining allow me to breakdown the features that I am looking for:

1. When viewing TV Section I would like the ability to customize my artwork for the TV Series as a whole. Now I would like the ability to select this 'cover art' as either a particular season, perhaps a 'checkable' option.

Example:

_ Would you like to list the most recent season as your cover art?

_ Would you like to add a different cover art? (upload).

This way if I have 10 seasons of the TV Show Friends my cover art might be a customized image of the cast that as opposed to the cover art being "Friends Season 10" image. Does that make sense?

Okay, So now when I open itunes TV Shows I have all of my shows listed with a cool unique cover art that apple can also customize and design if they so choose.

2. Once I click on my TV Show, lets continue to use Friends as the example. When I click on the episode each season is broken down by number and like many of you, each season has different album art. So when I click on each season/ episode the color of the drop down changes to the color/image of that season.

Example (from itunes own artwork): (forgive me I would include pictures if I could

Season 1 - Blue artwork

Season 2 - Red artwork

etc...

So that's it, I guess I didn't have to number it. Maybe I'm the only one who is frustrated by this or even cares about this, but it seems like such a simple thing to correct that it annoys me. And by apple/ itunes own design they seem to feel that it should be this way otherwise they wouldn't have individual seasons artwork and would simply have album art for the series as a whole.

Sorry about the length guys! End of rant.

I'm amazed that Apple have done this when they are all about the user experience. I have so many TV series such as Frasier, Friends, House, How I met your Mother etc etc where they number into the double figures of seasons and the cover art is an indicator to where you are in the shows timeline. If I want to watch a particular season I rely a lot on the cover art.

Now I have to go to into finder to look at the mp4 to try to figure out where I am in the series.

A very very backwars step Apple!

Just an FYI from my experience:

It worked the correct way for me when I first installed iTunes 11 (the correct cover art for each season appearing, with color scheme and all, when selected). I liked it.

Don't know when, but somewhere along the way, I noticed no more cover art change, as well.

So, it must be a bug.

I might reinstall and see if that fixes it.
