How do I ACTUALLY delete stuff from iphoto

I have an albumn I deleted. the photos are deleted from iphoto, the trash is emptied. searching for the file in the little magnifying glass shows the images i want deleted still. When I try a search for the filename in finder they do NOT show up... WHERE ARE THESE **** FILES STORED?

I can "delete all" photos from my iphone, then go into itunes and SYNC THE **** ALBUM full of photos that I deleted from iphoto.

HOW DO I GET RID OF THIS?

ubuntu?

I capitalized one sentence since you last tried to help me? Trying to get the attention of someone who might be an apple employee and want to figure out what is up... If you read what I have written it is a sigficant flaw/question.

sorry that my problem was not as simple as "delete the iphoto trash" and sorry if I came off as a bit frustrated. It doesn't take 6 hours to delete a file from most computers...

can see them in "spotlight". I cannot see them in finder.

Command-click on one of the image files listed in Spotlight and you'll be taken to the folder that the file resices in. Then you can use the Path button in the Finder window to see where it's located.

If you want to find any file on your hard drive I suggest you use the shareware application Find Any File. It can search areas that Spotlight can't, even packages and invisible folders and can get you direct (double click) access to any file's location.

thank you. when I was talking about spotlight though I literally meant the one in my global menu bar. the spotlight in finder like you showed did not display the results at all, while the one in the global menu bar did.

That shareware app will probably do the trick though! (though rediculous that apple doesn't build in that option...)
