where do I start... not only would I be happy going back to iTunes 10.. I'd be willing to skip iTunes 11 if you could get my old Sound Jam MP runing on my Mac Pro.... the best I can say about iTunes 11 is afte several hours trying to get any sense out of it.. most prvious upgrades only occupied the time it took to update the library before it was running as intended... after my first day with 11 it was like a pointless day at the interface of Excel.
None of the views i use are available Music, TV Shows or Podcasts. In music the failure to be able to be in Column Browser mode and search on a word to experience the songs albums or artists that reflected that word is impossible instead i get a search window that is a mutated cross breed of Sherlock and Genius telling me nothing of any use..... I always sort playlists out by last track played which means updating ipods gives playlist views always with a new song as first item ( Been doing this since iPod 1 if anyone remembers them)
iTunes DJ with a thousand playlists in my library i avoided the main music library because of al lthe stupid clutter like the old Griffin iTrip frequency tracks and the best way to access the obscure playlists i relied on was via iTunes DJ which had the added benefit of Cover flow and control by iPhone / iPod Touch but always the monitor let you know what was happening if the phone got misplaced... now its liek lucky dip trying to find what playlist is playing if i move to another menu bar feature....
and no thumbnail of album art work at bottom of rh menu bar.. .this was helpful when you lost soem music and wanted to know which tracks were missing media.. just arrow key the highlight and as it passed each song the need to load album art forced it to display the Exclamation mark if the song was missing now it seems you have to play each song which then gives you the missing song retreival warning box that has to be closed before moving on....
lets not go onto the tv show or podcast windows.. but i cant understand why they could not leave the old view options there for thsoe who preferred them. I would imagine any old silver surfers who upgraded their iTunes ot 11 wil lbe full of despair as they try to navigate their music collections... Apple this is a greater disgrace than switching off iTools then iDisk and making iWeb sites obsolete.... at least there were alternatives.... iPhones need iTunes...
FIX THIS NOW or I am off to Linux after 27 faithful years on Mac before you screw up mail.. oh you did .. mobile me and backup.. a disgrace .screw up iphoto .. er oh you did.. .aperture... final cut pro x.... infact maybe I've already given you enough chances and this is the last straw
If that guy on the first iPod advert 1000 songs in your pocket was trying to find his music and synch his ipod with iTunes 11 he would be trashing his powerbook with a sledgehammer after 2 minutes
