I'd be panicking right about now, checking to see if the files are still there... In windows, I think the location of your media should/might/may be in desktop > My Documents > Music > iTunes > iTunes Media, but I'm not entirely sure.

If the media itself is still safe and sound, looks like it might be a database that got messed up. You might be able to grab it from a backup (you may want to do a google search for instructions to restore an itunes library from a previous backup, but you will lose whatever changes you made since then).
