Dec 1, 2012 8:43 PM in response to Bernard Knightby Give_me_a_break,I actually tried to send an email to Tim Cook about this, but both and bounced back.
In general, Apple was always more of a hardware and OS company. Their apps are usually dumbed-down versions of what other software companies bring to the table. But to screw up the most important app in their eco-system really makes you wonder what's going on.
Maybe some smart database programmers will be able to hack iTunes and provide a layer on top of it that allows us to better handle and view our libraries. After all, it's just a database that people want to slice and dice according to their and not Apple's preferences. CDPedia shows that this could be done, but the programm is not sophisticated enough yet: http://www.bruji.com/cdpedia/

Dec 1, 2012 8:16 PM in response to Give_me_a_breakby david.moody,G'day, I don't know any relevant email addresses, but there are other ways to get the message across. I've created a poll for everyone to cast their vote, the more it is spread around the better, the address is: http://digitalthoughts-web101.blogspot.com

Dec 1, 2012 9:09 PM in response to Porfby Sisyphus74,YAY! Congratulations Apple! Worst iTunes ever!!
Can this really be considered an upgrade when many previously useful features have also been eliminated? MIA: Cover Flow, DJ, Covert to MP3, Preview... iTunes Lite would seem to be a more appropriate title.
While you're at it... why not abandon cover art altogether to make it an even simpler and faster interface to use. Easy fix... just re-release iTunes 1.0 and you're good to go!
Next up... hire Steve Balmer to really run the Apple into the ground.
We miss you Steve Jobs....

Dec 1, 2012 9:15 PM in response to Michael Nelsonby Sisyphus74,Really? Where would 'Convert to MP3" be then?

Dec 1, 2012 9:18 PM in response to Sisyphus74by Michael Nelson,Either right-click (control-click) on a file and select it from a contextual menu or choose it from FILE >> CREATE NEW VERSION (third down from the bottom).

Dec 1, 2012 9:37 PM in response to Porfby nmorillov,How can I activate the voting system for the remote app in itunes 11, like iTunes DJ used to do? That's the feature that I miss the most!!!

Dec 1, 2012 10:19 PM in response to Porfby Ryfus,I absoulutely HATE iTunes 11...and I never thought I would be able to say that about an Apple product. Everything people are saying about how horible the new user interface and GUI are I agree with whole-heartedly.
And I'm particularly angry at what they did to the Mini Player...vanishing buttons, violations of thier own interface standards, no more "radio window"...I spent one evening with it on two of my machines and then spent every instant of time at my disposal getting rid of it and back to iTunes 10.7. Tonight I've gone back and invoked "Ignore Update" for iTunes 11 on all of my Macs. This has to be the worst ever from Apple, IMO. Shame!

Dec 1, 2012 10:31 PM in response to Porfby kickinchef247,It is a big old pill of steaming dog poo...thoughtless, childish, no real vision or direction, poor engineering, horrible layout, etc. etc. It almost has the feeling that whoever created it had no real understanding of how people used it.

Dec 1, 2012 10:33 PM in response to Ryfusby kickinchef247,Shame indeed....I am starting to lose my faith in the post Jobs era : (
It seems like everyone at Apple just gets to do what THEY feel like.

Dec 1, 2012 10:42 PM in response to Porfby kickinchef247,Seems like a Microsoft thread up in here...LOL...Whole lot of Apple hating going on. I want to see Apple keep ignoring its customers all they way to $100 a share..you BETTER wake up Apple...customers paying $1000s of dollars for machines don't want to eat white bread

Dec 1, 2012 10:43 PM in response to William Fiveashby Ashka,Command L does highlight the playing song on iTunes 11 in every view including list view on my MacBook Air.
OSX 10.8.

Dec 1, 2012 10:47 PM in response to kickinchef247by MrsSpooky,This and iOS6 screwups are chipping away at my Apple fangirl status. Someone already posted a solution to my biggest problem with this update, but the fact that a workaround to their new so-called interface NEEDED a workaround doesn't bode well.

Dec 1, 2012 11:03 PM in response to Porfby 2beanklm,I don't like it. Albums are hugh, no cover flow, when going from playlist back to music it doesn't return to the last album you were in so you have to find it again. very disappointed. why would you make making playlists much harder? makes no sence at all to me.
They better make some way for me to get back to 10.7 and fast!!!
