From iTunes 11 back to 10, but (-42408) error

I hated not having cover flow any longer, so I restored iTunes 10 from backup, but, problem. What file is the Apple Store looking for that I have not been able to restore following going back to iTunes 10 from Time Macine backup?

iMac 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 12gig RAM/27" screen

Hello!

I managed to reinstall iTunes 10.7 but it doesn't seem to work to completly delete 11. It's on my desktop and is crossed out. With the youtube video mentioned somewhere here in the posts I got back all may playlists as well.

Now I have to get rid of the error -42408 message, only the problem is that I don't understand what you wrote that is I don't understand the computer language.

Neither do I know what AirTrafficHost.framework, CoreFP.framework, DeviceLink.framework etc. are nor where to find them or what to do with them. I'm not using time machine.

Is there any other easy way to get rid of the error?

Ok guys, this is the solution:

- Download the installer of iTunes 10.7

- Download Pacifist

- Close iTunes 11

- Drag the iTunes 10.7 installer in Pacifist + install the package

- Always hit the "replace"-button whenever Pacifist asks for it

- Don't open iTunes yet

- Browse to your iTunes Music folder and move the "iTunes Library.itl" to your desktop

- Go to the folder "Previous iTunes Libraries"

- Copy the file of the library from the day when you updated to iTunes 11 to your iTunes Music folder and rename it to "iTunes Library.itl"

- Launch iTunes and be amazed it worked

OMG...thank you so much!!! This worked for me!

After a thoasand hours of struggeling, I've finally my good old Itunes back.. Like it's on a Mabcook again, and not a ***** Iphone...which makes sense, because that's what it it!

A BIG, BIG THANK YOU TO all who helped with this...where would we be without you great people?? I know Itunes 11 is a heap of junk...but there have been way to many people simply complianing...this is a support forum afterall. So great that some of you could really help.

By the way, for those who have already tried the other solutions which don't work (like restoring files from Time Machine), you can just do this directly. No need to reinstall Itunes 11, or even remove your existing 10.7. Just follow these steps and it should work....

Moral of the story is, when something works, don't try and fix it! And if you are a software developer, don't realease an update unless it is an improvment.

It has been three months since I upgraded iTunes to 11. I tried the above version to revert and it worked, but it gave me the state of my iTunes 10 library and none of the music/books/movies, that I have added since the day I upgraded to iTunes 11.

Does anyone know how to force the restored iTunes 10 to accept all media added since the 10-11 switch? None of the recent media added shows in the iTunes library now.

Ok, I opened iTunes 10/File/Add to Library, selected the iTunes Media folder. Import.

After hitting the REPLACE button many times for older iPhone Apps, the iTunes Library updated itself. I had to delete music files that were missing because I had deleted them in iTunes 11. There were a few duplictae movie files I deleted.

Trouble now is that iTunes 10 does not recognize PDF files as Books to sync and view on my iPhone4. Anyone know why? These pdfs have not chnaged since creation by me. iTunes10 will not recognize them.
