itunes 11 multiple windows

So far iTunes 11 seems decent, looks nice. However, previously I kept multiple windows open. For example one on the store to do searches, view categories, check for app updates, etc and one on my main library for playing music.

To create a new window you used to double-click on the category in the left side navigation window. I.e. double click on store to get a store window.

That doesn't work with iTunes 11. Nothing else seems to either (i,e. dragging the category from itunes 11, right clicking on it, etc. Nothing in the menus shows "new window" either.

Any ideas? Thanks.

It beggars belief that Apple are this arrogant. Complete disdain for thier customers. Multiple windows is a must for anyone vaguely into their music. BUT NO. Even in the face of millions of views and comments worldwide APPLE NOT LISTENING. If there was an alternative i would definitely use it. Why don't we start a group to make a brilliant musc player/library for Macs which works. Forget a store or all that other rubbbish.....just a fantastic player. iTunes tries to do far too much, it's a mess, it's horrible, it's a joke, it's not fit for purpose, it's clunky........etc etc etc..........ANYONE LISTENING??????????????????

Have posted feedback many times to Apple about this clunker, and hope each small upgrade restores missing functionaity, but to no avail. Obviously, anyone who is serious about music and making playlists needs ability to open multiple windos, do searches that show up in a real window, not lame small pop up- I mean pop down window, that the minute you try to use it looses everything. Just look back at iTunes 10, 9, 8, 7, 6... to see what needs to be done to fix iTunes 11.

I downgraded to 10.7 to get my multiple windows back.

Hey Apple Developer Team: How's it going? Good? That's great! If you ever get around to reading this thread, can you please let us all know when you add the multiple windows feature back a future version of iTunes?

Like others have said, when we edit lots of playlists, it's much better to have multiple windows open so we can drag and drop songs, like in previous versions (i.e. - iTunes 10.7). The way it is right now is giant clusterfudge of pain (technical term). Thanks for your attention and... Good luck - We're all counting on you.
