In regard to iTunes 11.1.3.8
Innovation is a key part of staying ahead of the curve, especially in the tech world. But, why does apple feel the need to change the function of iTunes so often while only making the program less useful. At one time a person could individually select podcasts and make a playlist that played them in whatever order the user desired. The episodes in the sync list went in chronological order, not reverse chronological order, and they would sync the same way. A user could listen to episodes of a podcast in the order they were released not newest to oldest.
Then apple made a podcast app that most people agreed was terrible. And all of the listed maladies above were relegated to the wretched podcast app. Next thing you know apple decides that it is not the responsibility of the user to have useful function in the product they purchase. So apple takes everything that is most useless about the maligned app and adds it to the iTunes program itself.
I understand that some people might want the newest podcast episodes at the top of the list for each podcast. Fine, but is there not also a tab that collects all of the un-played podcasts in one place? Additionally, there remains a lack of user freedom with regard to selecting the play order of podcasts on the users’ personal device.
Thank you so much apple for upholding you status as the tech company, not called microsoft (they are the other guys), that has no regard for actual innovation or customer satisfaction.
