iTunes 11 Get Album Artwork does not work anymore

After update, Get Album Artwork stopped working.

I use iTunes Match. I logged out and logged back in (as others suggested) and no luck.

Anyone else had this issue? anyone knows how to fix it? iTunes used to give me an error when couldn't find artwork too. I renamed a track and tried Get Album Artwork. did not give me error either.

You can still ask the iTunes Store for album artwork by right-clicking on an individual album and selecting, "Get Album Artwork." Hope that helps!

I have found a solution which works all the time:

1) Find the album in itunes store

2) Use the Command-Shift-4 screenshot function to capture the artwork onto your desktop

3) In itunes, go back to the disk you just added and select the blank tile (or tiles) and

4) From the context menu select "get info"

5) Go to the artwork section and click the tick box next to artwork

6) Navigate to your desktop and select the screenshot you just took

Comments/Bugs for apple to fix:

itunes should find the artwork if it's in the store

the command i shortcut doesn't work in itunes

I am using itunes 11.1.1 on an imac running OS-X 10.6.8

Just an FYI (this was applied to a Windows 7 workstation).
My inlaws could not rename songs or apply album artwork to songs migrated to itunes from a very old music archive that I created for them from during the very first days of winamp. Took me 2 minutes to figure it out after trying to modify things myself: several mp3 files were still marked as *read only*.
I hope it saves you some future aggravation!

OK, this is what worked for me: Apparently, if your input format is different from any of the songs in the album, the "Get info" option won't work. For example, I had a bunch of songs in ACC format, but my input setting was in MP3 (the encoder setting). Either change the input setting to the format of your songs, or select all the songs in the album, right click them, and click convert to whatever format you have set. Then try.

I thought itunes was was getting all the album artwork it used to get either but the problem seems to be a setting. Right click the section where the artwork is supposed to show and select "always show artwork". If it still doesn't show then its most likely not matching with either the names of the song, album or band.

I found a way but it is a little bit of a work if it is for the entire library. I always access the Itunes store from my browser, on the search engine I put the album + itunes , them from there I do a left click on the image, copy the link, You will notice that It's in JPG and 170X170.... from there you can change it to 600X600 or 800X800, 400X400 and it works putting the artwork mannually.

Sorry for the mistakes, not speaks and write english so good. Hope that it helps you! 🙂
