Unhappy with the latest itunes update.

I just updated my Itunes to be able to sync my ipad mini but I really don't like it. Is there anyway to change the interface but still able to sync my ipad?

If you want the program as in iTunes 10.7, go to View > Show Sidebar

I installed the latest update a few days ago and one thing is really annoying me. I don't want any kind of album art or whatever showing up next to the names of my playlists, but there is no way to turn this "feature" off. I can't even shrink the area where the name shows up so that stupid square disappears. Is there a way to fix this?
