Had this problem also, running on 64bit Windows 7, though only occurred today, after using without issue since last update. Tried a few of the suggestions above; the one referenced below fixed the issue for me:

1. Drag the iTunes window to the top-right corner of your screen, until Windows displays a pulsing, transparent semi-circle at the edge that's cutting off the iTunes display; the window should align to this edge.

2. Click the maximise button on the iTunes window, which should expand the window to fit the rest of the screen.

I'm using a 23.6" Samsung LED widescreen monitor, at 1920x1080 resolution, but whether this pertains to the above issue, I have no idea...

Just glad that the issue where the Windows taskbar was overlapped by iTunes is fixed!

I've now tried the "small icons" workaround (bTaryag), but it doesn't maintain a proper maximise after going back to small icons. So I'm putting up with big icons for the time being, but this isn't a great fix since I need all the space on the screen I can get! Oh well, maybe one day Apple will apply the "it just works" principle, and fix this.

I TAKE IT BACK! 😠

Came back in to iTunes today, with "big icons" switched on, and iTunes is STILL misaligned! So bTaryag's fix doesn't work for me after all. Going back to "small icons" again.

Just want to point out that every other application on my system manages to maximise properly, whatever size my taskbar icons are. Come on, Apple.

Grrr...

Sorry for wrong English.

My Apologies.

Thanks JamesPaulMallon that worked for me and seems to be one of the quickest work arounds.

I use your work around when I have to use iTunes, e.g., for an iPhone App update (when I don't have access to Wi-Fi and the App update file is too big to download directly to the iPhone with a 3G connection).

Otherwise, I'm purchasing music from Amazon.com and using Tomahawk as my music player.

Note to Apple: if you happen to look at the above post, please allow me to make a couple of points.

First, I recognize that Apple does not monitor this forum ("Discussions" or "Communities") in order to provide assistance to Apple customers. See

Apple Support Communities Terms of Use:

6. Apple involvement. Apple does not formally provide technical support on the Site. However, any information that is provided by Apple or Apple employees is offered on an "AS IS" basis without warranties of any kind.

Second, Apple might initially assume that the two links in my post violate this part of the Terms of Use:

6.2. Any reference, including a link, to a commercial item that is not directly related to a relevant technical support question or answer.

However, I believe the links are appropriate because they are directly related to the support question because they provide an alternative for individuals to purchase music and listen to it, given the significant problems associated with iTunes 11.

If you delete this post, because of the links to Amazon and Tomahawk, but you ignore the flood of posts bemoaning the changes introducted in iTunes 11, that will tell us a lot.
