Can't add songs to iTunes 11

i connected my iphone to the Itunes on my PC and i open my Itunes' music and select all musics, and then click the right mouse, and choose add to device and choose Iphone, i tried it myself and it works!

Same problem here. Songs where copied to my itunes folder, albums appear on newly added list, but I can't find them anywhere in my library. I have iTunes Match.

Same problem. I've restarted iTunes and rebooted the machine. I'm guessing the library isn't sync correctly.

Here's a fix

1.del all of music in ur library in itune 11

2.it should ask like "Are you sure?" just click "Delete Songs"

3.it'll popup a quote like "Do you want ...(something)" just click "Keep Files"

4.then try to add a music in ur library again

5.should fixed

PS.don't forget to shut the itune match off

Are you kidding me? You have do this everytime you need to add a song?

What I do is this:

1. At the top left corner, there should be a drop down menu

2. Click "Add File to Library"

3. Choose which files you want to add

4. If you're adding more than one, select all files in the folder

5. Click "Open"

Not sure if you had iTunes set to desktop or fullscreen, but i have always had previous versions full screen and adding/importing songs, movies etc, not a problem, couldn't import with this version in full screen, so just by chance i closed program, opened up a new desktop, opened up iTunes 11 in the desktop, not full screen however and imported no problem, crazy, now what's the point of full screen, can't see me closing full screen every time i wan't to add a song etc, something needs to be rectified, me thinks.

same problem here. i did what avaflava1 said to do and that gets them into itunes but my problem was i wanted to add over 200 songs to a playlist. there was no simple way to do it. what i did was once i had the music into itunes, i then added the header "date added" and sorted by that. all my chrismas music i just added came up first so i just dragged it into the "add" area of the playlist. kind of a convoluted way to do it but its much better than going through my entire music library and adding christmas songs one at a time. apple is really starting to **** me off with this stuff. you would think it would be tested six ways to sunday before they release it to the public.

I had the same issue. I simply restarted iTunes again and realized that my icon had changed to the new one, it gave me the two intro videos this time (not right after the install) and now my added songs are there and searchable.

unfortunately none of these suggestions work for me. I am still not able to add new songs to iTunes.

To fix the problem just clear the iTunes cache
