How do I update iPhone apps via iTunes 11 on computer

So much for the new "easy to use" iTunes.

I can do all the steps that you suggested, and my apps get updated on my PC iTunes, however, they do not update on the iPad when I sync.

Thanks Judy232 for your suggestions. I was able to locate the "Apps" button on my iTunes and update all my Apps. I am using windows.

For users who have done all of the above and still cant see the Apps drop down - you will need to download any app first to ensure all is OK with iTunes. If this works then just drag and drop you existing apps from Finder or Windows Explorer to get them to be recognised by this hideous new iTunes. Even though my existing iTunes folder was being recognised by iTunes, it did not know my apps where there

They want to open up their phone market to those who don't have a computer or don't care to connect their phone to a computer to download/update.

Worked fo rme too after banging my head over this for 15 minutes. Apple, why? Why make this harder than it has to be?

try this

upper left click on show menu bar then

File-->Devices-->Transfer Purchases from XXX phone

then after sync

go to apps u an able to see update apps link right side down
